TweetFor the past few months Cloudbot has been housed (along side 5 other startups) on 19th floor of the Merchandise Mart in a 19,000 sq. ft. office affectionately referred to as the “Fail Cube”. The quirky name, bare bones accommodations and concentration of startups caught the attention of one Tribune reporter and we got a little writeup.

TweetCloudbot is tearing down the data silos of your personal cloud and we need help! That’s right Cloudbot is hiring developers an iOS and Back-End engineer to join our Chicago-based development team!
What is Cloudbot building? People are increasingly dependent on online applications to store data, to communicate and to discover, leaving your information segmented and scattered across the web. Using APIs, Cloudbot makes your life easier by letting you control these applications and combine their underlying data from a flexible interface, on mobile and web.

TweetCloudbot is bringing clarity to the cloud with a mobile that aggregates users’ personal profiles, contacts and activities across multiple web services and social networks into a single interface that makes it easier to stay in touch, organized and in control of personal data online.
So, what does this mean? Well, think about how many apps we use everyday. We use Email, Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on news and to communicate with our friends, Dropbox and Google Docs to store and share files, snap and share photos with Flickr and Instagram and let our friends know where we’re at with Foursquare. Each of these apps service the purpose to make our lives easier and enhance our interactions with one another but managing all of these services (and the data they create) is difficult, not because these services don’t work well but because they don’t work together.
This is where Cloudbot comes in. With Cloudbot you can access all of your accounts in one place, share your data across different services as well as connect and communicate with friends across different services and manage your entire history with that person. Connect all of your services and never worry about remembering a password. Once your services are connected Cloudbot pulls all your friends and followers into one place creating an address book of your entire social cloud where you can perform actions with your contacts whether it is tweeting or posting on their wall, sending an email or text, or even planning an in-person meeting at a new place by using intelligent suggestions [with the help of added context from previous check-ins, friends and even the weather.
We’re still working hard to get our iPhone app out to users but stay tuned for some exciting updates on our launch and how Cloudbot is going to help you simplify the way you use apps and communicate with your friends.
